Chocolate Bundle Remy Hair Review

Chocolate Bundle Remy Hair

So if you guys have been following me on Instagram, you that I have been rocking my RPGShow wig pretty consistently. I’m loving the red hair these days so I wanted to try it out with longer hair. Chocolate Bundle Remy Hair.

This hair can be found at your local beauty supply store or online. I got mine from TheHairRock.com.

The hair I used to make this wig was two packs of Chocolate Bundle Remy Hair. The lengths are both 18inch and the color is Natural. I also used a lace closure that I purchased from Aliexpress.

My first step was bleaching the hair. I used L’Oreal Quick Blue bleaching powder and 40 vol developer. Along with a lightening activator packet (sorry don’t remember the brand, I purchased it from Sally’s). Here is the hair after bleaching:

As you can see, the hair didn’t lift as much as the closure. This is because the closure is Brazilian Virgin hair. The Chocolate Bundle Remy hair is not virgin hair but can still be bleached and dyed (only the Natural color). I repeated this process two more times to the Chocolate Bundle Remy Hair only. I later found out that it wasn’t necessary but it’s still good to know that the hair can take multiple bleachings. I also want to add that I deep conditioned the hair overnight after each bleaching.

This is the color I purchased for this hair

This is the results after the coloring was applied

This color came out a lot more vibrate than what I was expecting!

I definately, had to tone this color down. I didn’t have a burgundy color on hand so I mixed some colors together. I mixed together Pravana Chromasilk in Magenta, a tab bit of Pravana Chromasilk in Violet, and a very small amount of Revlon Colorsilk Soft Black. This were the results…

Overall, I’m very surprised and pleased with the quality of this hair. It took the bleaching and coloring process very well. I can’t wait to see how this hair holds up. Although, I don’t believe I’ll be having a problem from this hair.

RPGShow SC011C-S Beyonce Wig

SC011C-S

Let me introduce you to my new baby! lol. This is the Beyonce inspired wig from RPGShow in color Claret (99j – burgundy). This wig is so new for me. I’m not one for short hair, but I have falling in love with the bob. It’s perfect for the warmer weather; not having a ton of hair on your neck and flowing down your back. Plus, this asymetrical cut is so fierce.   Here are the specs for my wig: Link to this wig: RPGShow SC011C-S Beyonce Inspired Wig Code of the product: sc011c-s – Hair color: #2 root #99j – Hair length: 10″ – Cap construction: glueless cap – Cap size: size-1 – Lace color: light brown – Hair texture: silky

SC011C-S   SC011C-SI must say that the initial color, while pretty, was just a tab bit too bright for me. So I toned the color down with a box red color by Vidal Sassoon (sorry don’t remember the exact color). I also brought the dark roots down a little further using Revlon ColorSilk in Soft Balck. Here are the results: SC011C-S SC011C-S

If you follow me on YouTube, you know that RPGShow is one of my favorite wig companies. I love that you’re able to customize the wig (bleach/dye) without out any problems if the original style doesn’t suit you. Also the lace they use is virtually undetectable, making wig look so natural. So Yesss, I love it! This will be my go to hair this summer.

BH Cosmetics Eyeshadow Haul

BH Cosmetics

BH Cosmetics

I’ve heard really good things about BH Cosmetics for a while. So, I finally got around to purchasing some products from this company. I picked up the “Take Me to Brazil” eyeshadow palette, “Eyes on the 60’s” eyeshadow palette, and the “BH Hollywood” eyeshadow/blush combo palette. I must say that I am extremely surprised. The quality is far beyond what I would have expected. The eyeshadow colors are so vivid and pigmented. They are also so easy to work with. The first thing that came to mind is the quality being very comparable to MAC eyeshadows.

Here is the first look I came up with. I used the “Take Me to Brazil” palette

I’m hooked! Their prices are so affordable as well. I purchased all three palettes for about $33.00.

Nashville’s First Unleash the Beast Cut Party

Cut Party

I know I’ve been M.I.A. for the past few weeks, but it’s been for a good reason. I’m extremely excited to have collaborated with the talented Nicole the Experience for Nashville’s first Cut Party. Unleash the Beast Cut Party! This was sort of a hair-show meets party/networking event. Some of you may not know that I am originally from Detroit, so now that I am in Nashville, there aren’t many hair events. I hope with will be an upward trend in growing the beauty industry here and putting Nashville on the map for more than just country music.

The whole team was styled and beautified! Here was my look to the night. Of course, my hair was styled by Nicole.

Texlax after 2 years – Yep I did it!

Texlax

After all of the going back and forth about what I was going to do with my hair, I finally decided to texlax. Since being relaxer free for 2 years, I’ve grown to love the fullness my hair has gained. However, I quickly learned how much work it takes to maintain it. I feel that a texlax is the best of both worlds. I did experience some breakage in the front where my bleached areas are. I know it’s a no-no to relax bleached hair, but I wanted to loosen up most of my texture. It didn’t turn out as bad as I thought.  My plan is just to take extra care of that area and slowing trim away the bleached hair as it grows out (or break off, whichever comes first lol). It’s funny how our views change over time. The old me would have been devastated with the amount of damage I experienced. I now feel that hair is hair and it would most definitely grow back.  I will definitely texlax my hair from now on.

Glitter Nails – Pink Gradient Glitter Nails with 3D Flower

Glitter Nails

Here I show how I do my fill-ins for my glitter nails. I originally was going to soak these off and do a whole new set, but I figured I’d try something new. This time I tried a gradient/ombre effect by filling in with a lighter color glitter acrylic. Then topped it off with a very simple 3D acrylic flower. I really love how this turned out.
