Gelibility – Christian Louboutin Red Bottom Nails

Gelibility

For this nail design, I redid the Christian Louboutin Red Bottoms inspired nails from last year. This has become one of my most popular designs. I can admit though, my execution of the design could have been a whole lot better. My nail skills has improved since then. So, I wanted to give it another try. This time with a different technique.

Products used to create this design:

Firstly, instead of painting my nails red underneath like last time, I decided to use clear tips and red acrylic. I applied the clear tips to my nails. I shaped and blended them as usual. Then I put a thin layer of Beauty Secrets Clear Acrylic powder on my nail bed. This will ensure that my natural nail will not stain from the super pigmented red acrylic. I use red acrylic to form my nail. With this technique, the red color will show through the clear tip underneath my nail. This is a much cleaner look then painting the underside red.

Next, I used one of my favorite nude nail polishes, OPI “Hands off my Kielbasa” and the Gelibility system to make the OPI polish into a long lasting gel polish.
Gelibilty is an awesome two part system that turns ANY regular nail polish into a gel polish. Gel polishes are much more expensive than regular polish. It can get costly buying various colors of it. But with Gelibility, you can change the nail polish you already own, into Gel polish. Each Gelibility set equals about 25 gel manicures. This is an average savings of $375. Get Gelibility here: https://fbit.co/sI1Gelibility

First I applied a thin layer of Gelibility Stick it Soak Off Gel Bonder. This helps the gel polish adhere better and last longer. I cure it in my UV/LED nail lamp for 60 seconds. Then I wiped the tacky layer off with alcohol.
Then, I mixed equal parts of the OPI nail polish and Gelibility Dual Purpose Soak off Gel. I used the nail polish brush to mix the two really well. Then I applied a thin coat to my nails. You have to make sure the coats are thin. If it’s too thick, it will not cure properly. I learned this the hard way lol. I cured each coat for 60 seconds. It took 4 coats to get the desired coverage.
To finish off your Gelibility manicure, all you have to do is apply a coat of the Dual Purpose Soak Off Gel, cure, then wipe off the tacky layer.
But for this design, I wanted something glossier. I applied Pink Gellac Ultra Shine Gel Top Coat to all my nails. Before I cured, I adhered a/b crystals to each ring finger. Adhering your rhinestones with gel gives them the ultimate hold without sacrificing shine. That is because you don’t have to apply anything on top of the stones like you do if you use a regular top coat nail polish.GelibilityGelibility
I am so in love with this design. The gel polish just really elevates this look in my opinion. It looks so much neater and definitely shinier! Tell me what you guys think! Share your thought below.

Novex Brazilian Keratin

Novex Brazilian Keratin – I wanted to finally wear my natural hair is a ultra sleek style but lately I haven’t been able to get the results I wanted. It is because my texlaxed hair is super thick, so it requires a lot more product to get that stick straight look. However, with extra product comes that dreadful weighed down look. Well, ladies (and gents) I’m here to introduce you to a product line that delivers super sleek results without greasiness or weighing the hair down.

I tried out Novex Brazilian Keratin Shampoo, Extra Deep Hair Cream, and Leave in Conditioner.

Novex Brazilian Keratin

I shampooed my hair using the Novex Brazilian Keratin Shampoo. The shampoo is sulfate-free and has a creamy consistency. It lather really well and cleansed my hair without stripping it of it’s natural oils.  Novex Brazilian Keratin

After shampooing, I towel dried my hair for about 10 minutes. I then separated my hair into four sections and applied the Novex Brazilian Keratin Extra Deep Hair Care Cream. I massaged this into each section and used my shower comb to help evenly distribute the conditioner. I left that on my hair for 15 minutes. Then I rinsed it out.

After rinsing out the deep conditioner, I let my hair towel dry again for about 15 minutes. The I sectioned my hair into four and applied the Novex Brazilian Keratin Leav in Conditioner to each section. I used my Denman paddle brush to detangle and distribute the leave in conditioner throughout. Then  proceeded to blow dry each section.

Next, I flat ironed my hair in small sections using my Remington TStudio Protect Straightener. This flat iron has vapor technology which infuses moisture into the hair.  Novex Brazilian Keratin

I am super pleased with how smooth my hair got from using the Novex Brazilian Keratin products. It’s so hard finding a products that supply the right amount of moisture without weighing the hair down. I can run my hands through my hair effortlessly with no greasy residue. I’m sold!

Soft Pink Bling Acrylic Nails – LongHairPrettyNails

For this Soft Pink Bling nail design I used some beautiful nail decorations that I received from Born Pretty Store. This set is a fill in from the reverse French nails I did previously. I just slightly reshaped them and filled in the cuticle area as needed.

Products used for this design:

Once the re-fill was complete, I applied a coat of the Pink Gellac Ultra Gel topcoat to my ring finger nail. I flash cured that coat for 10 seconds in my uv/led lamp. The flash cure is to help the gel stay in place. I think applied the iridescent glitter to the nail. Because I only cured the gel topcoat for 10 seconds, the gel was still tacky, which helped the glitter stick. I used my finger to gently press the glitter into the gel, then I cured for 90 seconds in my uv/led lamp. Then I applied two coats of the gel top coat on top of the glitter nail. I cured in my nail lamp between each coat.

Next, I applied two coats of the Nanacoco Pinky Pink nails polish to my index finger nail on both hands.

Then I used IBD soak off builder gel to adhere the Iridescent cube, flower charm, and a/b crystals to my middle finger nail. The charms are pretty large so flash curing the gel once the charms were in place helped keep them from sliding around.

Soft Pink Bling

Finally, I applied a coat of the Pink Gellac Ultra Shine topcoat to each nail. I am in love with these nail charms! I expecially love the cubes. I will definitely be ordering more from Born Pretty Store.

Reverse French Manicure with Marble Nail Art

This nail design is a marble effect design couple with a reverse French manicure. I wanted a nail design with a splash of color but still staying true to my favorite pink nude base.

I was inspired by @_STEPHSNAILS_ from Instagram. She is a nail tech from California that has the most unique nail designs. She only uses colored acrylic, no polish. I think it’s simply amazing that she is able to make those perfect lines and negative space designs using only acrylic. Maybe one day I’ll be able to master that technique. For now I used polish lol.

Reverse French Manicure

This is a sculpture acrylic nail set I did using the LongHairPrettyNails pink nude acrylic. I stepped my game up a purchased a larger acrylic brush. The size I used was #16. I must say that it made the process much faster. Although I love the size of the brush, I hate the quality. I purchased this from Sally’s Beauty Supply. This was the only size #16 brush they had. The quality is not so great. It states that it is Kolinsky Red Sable bristles, but it does not feel as soft as my other Kolinsky brushes. It got the job done though even though it was really hard to clean the brush throughout the process.

After completing the acrylic application. I filed, shaped, and buffed my nails. I used two nail polishes from Jessica Cosmetics for this design. I used color Embellished for the reverse french manicure. For the marble nail art, I used both Embellished and Adore Me. To create the marble effect. I place random drop of each polish on my nail. Then I used a small dotting tool to lightly swirl the colors together.

Lastly, I applied the Pink Gellac Ultra Shine gel topcoat to each nail. Before I cured it in my nail lamp, I placed a some a/b crystals on two nails, outlining the reverse french.

Reverse French Manicure

And that’s pretty much it. A sweet, simple design. Tell me what you this of this reverse french manicure with marble nail art. Share your thoughts below!

HairFleek Body Wave Hair Extensions Review

I am always on the lookout for great quality and affordable hair. I like to review affordable hair companies because not everyone wants to spend an arm and leg on some bundles. Majority of the hair I review is from Aliexpress. I know that many people don’t like to shop on that platform. HairFleek is the perfect alternative. HairFleek is based out of Atlanta, GA and the hair is of great quality and is super affordable.

HairFleek

I received 3 bundles of 18 inch Brazilian Body Wave and an 18 inch lace frontal. The shipping was really fast. It was shipped via USPS Priority mail. The packaged arrived in 2 days. The hair was packaged cute but simple. The hair was inside of this large pink satin bag with “#HAIRFLEEK” across it. Each bundle was neatly wrapped with a HairFleek tag on it. The length of the bundle was written on the back of each tag. The lace frontal was package inside of a plastic sleeve and covered with a hair net. Upon first inspection of the hair, it was really soft. I was able to run my fingers through the hair without a problem.

I was really excited to experiment with the lace frontal. This lace frontal has the perfect density. The only problem was the hair line. But if you are familiar with lace frontals, the hairline must be plucked for a natural look. My first step in the customization of this lace frontal was bleaching the knots. I used Clairol BW2 bleaching powder and Clairol 20 volume developer. I made the mixture thick so that it would not soak through the lace a bleach the roots of the hair. I let the bleach mixture sit on the lace frontal for about 15 minutes. Then I thoroughly shampooed and conditioned the lace frontal and the bundles. Once the lace frontal was dry, I plucked the hairline for a more natural look. The process took hours.

Then I constructed my wig. I sewed the lace frontal to the cap first. Then I sewed in the wefted hair. Because of the large size of the lace frontal, I only needed two bundles of the hair. So keep that in mind when shopping on there website. You can save even more money if you are going for a more natural density hairstyle.

I am impressed with HairFleek. The quality is really there.I have not experienced any shedding or tangling. The hair tooked to the bleaching process well which lets me know that this hair is truly unprocessed virgin hair. I will keep you guys updated on this gorgeous hair. Head over to HairFleek to get you some affordable quality hair!

Phenom Vivid Colour Nail Polish | Color Block Coffin Nails

My first nail design of 2016 is this beautiful sent of coffin shaped nails featuring deep rich hues perfect for fall/winter. I switched things up a bit with some color. You guys know how much I love pink nude nails. However, every once in a while you have to have a little color lol. These nail polish colors are from the Phenom Vivid Colour Fall/Winter Collection from Jessica Cosmetics.

Phenom Vivid Colour Phenom Vivid Colour
The nail polishes included in this set are Downtown Chic, Exquisite, First Class, Embellish, Decadent, and Crown Jewel.

Phenom Vivid Colour
I began this nail design by creating sculpture coffin shape nails using the LongHairPrettyNails Pink Nude acrylic powder. Then I filed, shaped, and buffed the nails.
Then I proceeded with different color polish for each nail using the Phenom Vivid Colour Fall/Winter Collection from Jessica Cosmetics. For the color block nail design, I used a small strip of tape down the center of the nail. Then I painted each side a different color. Once it was completely dry, I removed the tape which created the negative space design.

Phenom Vivid Colour
The Phenom Vivid Colour polish is very good quality. It has great coverage also. It took only two coats of each color. For the top coat, I use the Phemon Finale Shine by Jessica Cosmetics. This top coat was a shocker. You all know my favorite top coat of all time is Seche Vite. The Phemon Final Shine is just as good. The final embellishments are gold colored flat back beads from Born Pretty Store. I adhered then using the IBD soak off builder clear gel then cured under my UV/LED nail lamp for 90 seconds.

Phenom Vivid Colour
I’m excited to have these Phenom Vivid Colour nail polishes in my collection. I can’t wait to experiment more with them. I also have the Phenom Vivid Colour starter set that includes lighter shades which I’ll be trying out in a later nail design.
Tell me what you think!
