Natural Looking Acrylic Nails Pink Nude Nails. I have always done long acrylic nails with crazy designs; from extra bling to in your face 3D acrylic. Don’t get me wrong, I love my long nails but sometimes you get have to change things up a bit. I know many people can’t wear those kind of nails on the everyday basis due to work. So I would like to share this work friendly natural looking acrylic nail design.
This acrylic set is what you would call an acrylic overlay. I didn’t use any tips or nail forms. I started this set with bare nails. I prepped my nails using my e-file and the cuticle clean bit from Todac USA. I love this nail drill bit. It is a must for your nails. I love how quick and easy it get rid of the dead skin around the cuticle area. I use to have an issue with my acrylic nail enhancements lifting and could never figure out why. I thought I was doing everything right when it came to acrylic nail prep. However, I noticed that the dead skin around the cuticle area and on the nail plate is hard to see without “agitating” it first by using a nail file or cuticle pusher.
After prepping the nail with the cuticle clean bit, I take my hand file on the 180 grit side lightly buff the surface of each nail to remove any shine. This step is important because it lightly etches the surface of the nails which give the acrylic better adhesion. Next I take a makeup sponge soaked in acetone and wipe each nail. I like to use acetone as my dehydrator. The acetone removes any oils from the nail and technically dries it out. Once again, this step is essential for maximum acrylic adhesion. Then I applied the No Lift Nails Primer.
I then applied the cover nude acrylic. This acrylic is a great cover pink color. I purchased this from @nunis_nails from Instagram over a year ago. Unfortunately, he doesn’t sell it any more. I am on the look out for a great cover pink acrylic so feel free to leave your suggestions below. I used my petite macaroon #10 kolinsky acrylic brush from Exclusive Nail Couture to apply the acrylic. This is one of my favorite brushes because it gives me great control when apply acrylic.
After all the acrylic is placed and set I shaped the nails using my e-file and my large cone it from Todac USA. This bit is perfect for shaping the nail and making the cuticle area flush all in one step. I did my final shaping with my hand file.
Once the nails are all shaped, I applied my favorite gel top coat, the Poochiez Nailz Super Shine Gel top coat. Before I cured, I applied gold nail stubs from Todac USA.
Finally I cured the nails in my Christrio LED nail lamp for 60 seconds. And this is the finished look! A nice, classy nail design that is perfect for work. It still shows that some glam without being over the top. What do you all think about this nail design? Would this be a nail design that you would rock to the office?

Short Glitter Nude Acrylic Nails – I wanted to take a step back from all of the crazy designs and 3D acrylic art. For this design, I wanted something short, something practical, and something where I could go to work and not be the main topic of discussion at the water cooler. Don’t get me wrong I love showing off my artistic creations on my nails, but sometimes I just need a break. This design really showcase the beauty of a simple set. Acrylic application and shaping has to be spot on because there isn’t any polish, rhinestones, 3D acrylic, or designs to hide behind.
The acrylic powder I used for this nail design is from Exclusive Nail Couture and it is called Make-up Pink. It is a beautiful cover pink acrylic base with fine, iridescent glitter. The Make-up Pink acrylic powders gives the right amount of glamour without being too over the top. This acrylic powder is so easy to work with. It has a great consistency. It’s medium setting time gives you the perfect control and time to place it into shape without having to work too fast.
For this Short Glitter Nude Acrylic Nails design, I applied this Exclusive Nail Couture Make-up Pink acrylic over my natural nails. This technique is called an acrylic overlay. An acrylic overlay is where no nail tips are used. I did use sculpting nail forms, not for extending the length of the nails, but for stabilility when laying the acrylic.
After applying the Make-up Pink acrylic and shaping the nails, I applied my all time favorite top coat, Poochiez Nails Super Shine gel top coat.
Check out the video at the top of this post for a step by step run down of how I did this simple but beautiful acrylic nails.

Gold Chrome Nails – Chrome nails seem to be the lastest trend these days. I have been seeing all of my favorite nail techs on Instagram using these powders to create awesome nail designs. When I saw one of my top favorite nail techs Poochiez Nails began to offer chrome powders in her online store, I knew I had to try it out. I purchase most of my nail supplies from Poochiez Nails because she carry great quality items at a fair price. With so many people selling chrome powder, I wanted to make sure I was getting a quality product. Purchasing from Poochiez Nails gave me the confidence that I was getting a good quality powder.
I purchased the Gold Chrome powder, Poochiez Nails 3D acrylic brush, and Poochiez Nails Super Shine Gel Topcoat. The chrome powder was to include a sponge applicator brush for applying the powder however she emailed me to inform me that she was out of stock on those. So she ended up included a nail art brush as a gift. What great customer service!
To achieve these Gold Chrome Nails I first applied the Poochiez Nails Super Shine Gel Topcoat to my nails. It is recommended to apply a dark color polish as your base color and then the gel topcoat but I wanted to see how the gold chrome powder would look over light pink acrylic. I used a makeup applicator sponge to apply to the gold powder to my nails using circular rubbing motions. A small amount of powder goes a long way. I just assumed that this powder would be like loose eyeshadow pigment powder but is it more finely milled that makeup pigment. As soon as the gold chrome powder to rubbed into the surface of the nail the pigment is bold and sort of “stuck” onto the nail (for lack of a better term). I applied one layer of gold chrome powder then applied the Poochiez Nails Super Shine Topcoat. After curing that for 60 seconds under my LED nail lamp, I repeated the process; putting on a second layer of powder.
I am truly impressed with the gold chrome powder as it is very metallic and the color pay-off is so bold. I plan to purchase the silver chrome powder from Poochiez Nails once it is restocked.
Let me know what you think about these Gold Chrome Nails. Have you tried other brands of chrome powder? What was your experience?
Natural Acrylic Nails – I kept my previous nail design on longer than I would have liked. I typically change my nails every 2 weeks. However, due to me schedule, I just wasn’t able to get to it. Well once I did have the time to finally sit down and pamper myself, I soaked off my previous set of nails and noticed how long my natural nails had grown. I really didn’t want to cut them, so I chose to do an acrylic overlay on my natural nails.
I prepped my nails for the acrylic application by using the 100 grit side of my nail file to lightly take the shine off of my natural nails. Then I applied No-Lift Nails Primer to each nail. I then applied a second coat of the primer right before I applied the acrylic. The acrylic I used for this natural acrylic nails design in Beauty Secrets Clear Acrylic powder. I used a nail form for my middle finger nail because that nail was chipped. I made sure to apply a thin layer of acrylic to each nail as I didn’t want these nails to be too thick and chunky.
After the acrylic was applied, I filed, shaped, and buffed my nails. Using the Beauty Secrets Clear Acrylic was perfect for showing my natural nail’s beauty. I was able to get a better view of it once the filing and shaping was complete. I then applied the Pink Gellac Ultra Shine Gel Top Coat to each nail and cured for 90 seconds in my Christrio LED nail lamp. This nail design was fairly simple so I just wanted to add a little something to it with a few crystals.
I’m so in love with this Natural Acrylic Nails design. It makes me want to grow out my natural nails even longer. Let me know what you think, Share your thoughts below!

This glitter coffin nails design very glittery but wearable look. Using glitter acrylic makes an awesome permanent design. However, it can be a little time consuming when you have to mix the glitter and acrylic yourself. That’s why I decided to make my very own custom premixed glitter acrylic. LongHairPrettyNails Rainbow Sparkle is your go to for the ultimate party nail. Click here purchase.
This design in a fill-in from my previous nail design. For these glitter coffin nails, I used my electric nail file to remove my old design. I also filed down the old acrylic pretty low to create a smooth foundation for the new nail design.
I applied No Lift Nails primer only to my natural nail. Then I began to apply the LongHairPrettyNails Pink Nude Acrylic.
Next I used a 100 grit nail file to make an extra crisp and perfect smile line.
I then applied the LongHairPrettyNails Rainbow Sparkle acrylic. This acrylic is slower setting, allowing you plenty of time to get your design perfect. Great for beginners!
Then I used Beauty Secret’s Clear acrylic powder (available at Sally’s Beauty Supply) to escapsulate the glitter acrylic. Putting a layer of clear on top of the LongHairPrettyNails Rainbow Sparkle is completely optional. This acrylic can be filed without compromising the glitter.
I filed, shaped, and buffed the nails, then applied Pink Gellac Ultra Shine gel topcoat. This is the finished look!
