Extra AF 3D Ornament Nails. This is my last Christmas nail design of 2018. For this holiday inspired nail design I decided to try out sculpting a whole nail into a 3D Christmas Ornament. The 3D ornament nail is inspired by Dazzle Glam Nails from YouTube
Christmas 3D Ornament Nails. I’m still in the Holiday Spirit this Christmas season. I created another beautiful Christmas inspired nail design. This nail design includes hand painted candy cane and peppermint designs along with 3d bling Christmas ornaments. Check out the video to see how I created this acrylic nail design.
Hello guys, this is Evie and welcome back to my blog. I hope you all are doing great. In this post, I will show how to do Pink Glitter Ombre Acrylic Nails. Instead of doing a brand new full set, I decided to do a refill and redesign. This is another great design for Valentine’s Day. I used Pink glitter and Angel glitter from our shop to create this beautiful set of ombre acrylic nails.
So, before we get started, I want to feature this new clear acrylic nail polish stand that I recently received from banggood.com. First of all, I just love that it goes with my whole clear decor. It’s a major upgrade for me. It is made of nice quality acrylic and it beats the foam homemade nail polish stand I had before. My collection of nail polishes have been growing rather quickly lately and the little homemade foam stand I was using was already at capacity due to it’s limited size. So, needless to say, I was extremely excited to get my hands on this stand. Now I have a place for all of my little polishes looking like soldiers lined up and ready for nail war!
Removing the Old Design
These are my current nails and they have been on for about two weeks. I’m going to do a fill in and a design change and get these babies taken care of.
I’m going to be using these very large nippers that I got from gearbest.com. These nippers are BIG and heavy duty. I got these because I want to be able to remove large stones and also cut down my nails when it’s time to take them off. I want to be able to do that with ease.
These nippers just pop my big stone right off with minimal effort. These make everything so much quicker. I don’t have to fight with the stones anymore. I used to have to nip away piece by piece to get stones removed. But now it just take 1 squeeze and all of the stones pop off. This is definitely a time-saver.
After getting all of the stones off, i’m going to take my e-file and medium grit safety bit and take the bulk off of the nails. I want to get them filed down as flat as I can because i’m going to be doing a new design on top.
I’m filling in my nails using the clear acrylic. And i’m just doing a very thin layer of clear. I’ve had some request to do fill ins but I typically don’t do them as I like to have permanent acrylic nail designs and I really love a fresh set. But I do want to show you guys that have been asking how you can go about doing your own fill in.
Once I’ve filled in all of my nails with clear, i’m taking the while acrylic and applying it to the tip and i’m feathering it backwards to create a nice ombre. Make this layer is really thin. I’m trying to make it as thin as possible because I don’t want these nails to be thick.
Glitter and Clear Acrylic Mix Application
Next I pick up some pink glitter. Pick up small bead of clear acrylic and dip it into the pink glitter to apply it to the nails. Carefully work it around the cuticle area and then bring the glitter and clear mix down the nail to create a nice gradient effect. I just add more glitter wherever I see fit. Try to make it more dense and compact near the cuticle and begin to get more sparse as move down the nail until you get that nice gradient effect.
Once the pink is laid the way I like, I take the angel glitter mix and apply it to where the pink fades out. Overlap it to create a nice transition between the two glitters. I’m also making sure that this is a thin layer as well.
Once everything is to my liking, I seal it all in by encapsulating the entire nail with clear acrylic.
I forgot to mention that i’m using the #8 Alpha Kolinsky Oval shaped brush. This brush is one my favorite brushes. It’s one of my go to brushes and just makes me feel like a professional!
Repeat the same process for each nail.
Filing and Shaping Acrylic Nails
This is what the nails look like after the acrylic has set and is ready for shaping and filing.
I like to start off with a hand file on the 100 grit side. I do this to crispen up the shape and smooth over the nail.
This is what the nails look like after all of the hand filing is done.
I also like to take my medium grit safety bit and work this around the cuticle area. This seals off the acrylic, prevents lifting and makes it look super flush.
I think this is one of my favorite sets. I really love this color combination. It just looks so gorgeous.
I cure the nails in my SunUV LED lamp for 60 seconds.
Acrylic Nail Set Finishing and Reveal
And as a final step, I apply some cuticle oil.
That’s our set of pink and angel ombre acrylic nails. And i’m so in love with these. Like, I don’t think i’m going to take these off. I hope you all enjoyed this nail tutorial and set as much as I did. See ya in my next one!
As you all know, I love experimenting with my nails. I like trying new nail designs and showing you the process of their creation. From glitter to pink nude nails; this is something that I really enjoy! I love having an outlet to show my creativity. But now I`d like to share my plans for future acrylic nail designs. Here I want to present the most outstanding nail designs of 2017 that I can’t wait to try soon. Of course, my little gallery consists of just acrylic nail art ideas, because let’s face it; I love acrylic nails! And for those who don`t know why I prefer acrylic, I wish to share all the benefits of using this protective coating.
Benefits of acrylic nails:
you’ll get the nail coating that is stronger than gel nails that`s why it`ll protect your nails better;
you’ll get the perfect surface to paint colors and designs on;
you won’t spend a lot of money as acrylic is less expensive than gel nails;
in the case of damage, you always can repair them yourself.
Nothing can change my love for acrylic nails. I’ll stop talking now and let you look at some of the best nail art designs.
