Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation Review

Perfection Lumiere Foundation Review

Hey everyone! I want to talk about one of my all time favorite foundations. I have been on a search for years for the perfect foundation. Some problems I would always run into are; the darkest shade available in the line was too light, all dark shades available in certain makeup lines being too warm in color (too much red or orange undertones), or if I did find a good color match, it wasn’t formulated for my oily skin. So as you can imagine, it’s been a tough challenge.

I first heard about the from fellow YouTubers. I always heard wonderful things about the foundation but I quickly dismissed all that when I found out how much this stuff cost. It’s about $60! Now, I have never spent that much on a single makeup product so that was a major turn-off lol. However, being the frugal shopper that I am, I decided to check to see if I could find a deal on it. I was ever so lucky to find this for $35. That was a way better to swallow than $60, so I purchased it.

When I first tried this out I was extremely pleased at the color match. The color is spot on. The foundation is dark in color, but does not have any warm undertones, which is a perfect fit for me.

I also love that this foundation has a pump which really cuts down on mess and waste. Another thing I love is that a little really does go a long way. I only use one pump of this foundation for good coverage . The formulation although is strong in scent, does not cause any irritation with long wear like other foundations I use. Also, it does not state that it is formulated for oily skin, however it does keep my face matte longer. I’ve fallen asleep with the on my face (which I don’t recommend) and did not experience any irritation or pimples from doing so. One thing I can say is that this is a perfect match for my summer tanned skin. I may have to purchase the shade below this one for the winter season.

The only con for me is the price. However, I love everything else about it that I would just have to incorporate it into my beauty budget lol.
